'Sunset: the moment this world rotates, and we thought the sun was moving further away from us. Since we were kids, we have always been fascinated by sunset, those little moments of the day when the fireball is shooting its long-wavelength light across the sky. Sometimes, we wondered if the sky was like that throughout the day, would we still appreciate this beauty? Probably not. Humans fight for scarcity. We wouldn't miss the blue sky until it rains anyway. The only thing setting it apart from sunrise is probably the timing. In many ways, we see the sunrise as a sign of a fresh start, a whole new day waiting ahead. Sunset marks the end of this excitement. Our ancestors saw sunset as a sign to take cover and we associate it with the endless red line on the highway. A long wait is what it is. Randomly look out the window to realize the day is not that bad, red is not that bad at all, neither is yellow. We are tired. We should sit down and have a stare. ‘It won’t last long anyway.’ Girl oh girl, you keep saying that; every time. And suddenly all the good memories flow back, all the good old days are coming back. How come everything hasn’t changed at all? We would climb trees and hills to see the sunset. We would run wild and free on the riverbank. And now we climb ladders. For a very short moment, memories dash in as they used to be. They used to be, now, they are not.’
