“I imagine we’re just books in others’ libraries. Lots of searching and reading needed to find the exceptional one. And as much, if not more, understanding and courage to hold onto the right one.” 
Maybe, it’s not about being the ‘best.’ There isn’t just one perfect book out there for us, but rather several that could fit us well. As long as we are content with what we have, that’s all that matters.
