Distant and unchanging, the stars hold a deep connection to our past.
Stars are so far away that it takes years for their light to reach us. When we look at a start, we’re actually just seeing what it looked like years ago.
Each twinkling star is a time capsule, holding within it the memories of generations past, holding an echo of our ancestors who once gazed up at the same sky. And maybe, just maybe, when we look up at a star, it’s our ancestors looking down and guiding us when we’re lost.
In that moment, the vast expanse of the universe surrounds us and reminds us of our place in the grand scheme of things and brevity of our time on this planet. None of those bullshits in our daily lives matter anymore. Nothing can bother under the Milky Way.
And us, as humans, with shortness of breadth, yet, explain the infinite, capture the boundless mystery of the cosmos.
Enjoy!
